Are You Ready to Wear? A workshop on selecting PPE for the first responder in a CRRN event As a first responder to a potential CBRN event, do you really know what questions you should be asking when you select your personal protective equipment (PPE)? CRTI project Protecting the first responder against CB threats has developed guidance that includes a series of tools to help responders plan their response and select the most appropriate PPE based on indicators of the event, pre-assigned roles and responsibilities, and organizational capabilities. Responders attending this workshop will learn about the nature of the projects recommendations, the strengths and shortcomings of existing styles of equipment, and will participate in a tabletop exercise walking through two example scenarios in real-time to assist responders in understanding how to apply these tools.
