Elementary/Secondary Education Program

The Elementary/Secondary Education Program provides access for First Nations students to elementary or secondary schools, or services. The program funds instructional services for students on reserves, or covers the cost for students to attend provincial or territorial schools off reserves, including such services as transportation and counselling.

This program is delivered to Indian students living on reserves and Inuit students living in recognized communities on Crown land. It is also available to children of band or federal employees.
