In response to requirements to manage a changing offender profile, and contribute to public safety, CSC will focus, on five strategic priorities:
- Safe transition of offenders into the community
- Safety and security for staff and offenders in our institutions
- Enhanced capacities to provide effective interventions for First Nations, Métis and Inuit offenders
- Improved capacities to address mental health needs of offenders
- Strengthening management practices:
- Respond to the Public Service Employee Survey 2005
- Promote values and ethics
- Improve internal communications
- Strengthening human resources management
