CIHR's Knowledge Synthesis and Exchange branch and its partners are pleased to announce the Funding Opportunities for the fall 2007 competitions:

Fellowship: KT Priority Announcement

The Knowledge Synthesis and Exchange branch will fund fellowships to advance KT science: increasing understanding of the theory and practice of knowledge translation including the development of measures to evaluate the effectiveness and/or impact of KT tools, instruments, and interventions.

New Investigator (KT): Priority Announcement

Knowledge Synthesis and Exchange branch will fund new investigators whose research programs focus on KT science and the practice of KT: including the science of synthesis, KT interventions development and effectiveness, impact of KT activities

Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Knowledge Translation

The Knowledge Synthesis and Exchange branch will provide partial support for workshops, symposia and conferences, which either support KT research, contribute to building networks or researcher-user collaborations or knowledge exchange.

Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: End of Grant Knowledge Translation Supplement

The Knowledge Synthesis and Exchange branch will provide supplemental funding for KT activities at the end of a CIHR grant when it is appropriate to disseminate the results of the research beyond the traditional scientific community and using methods supplementary to and in addition to publication in peer reviewed journals.
 
Partnerships for Health System Improvement (partnered)

The PHSI initiative supports teams comprised of both researchers and decision makers that are interested in conducting applied health services (including public health), health systems and policy research useful to health system managers and/or policy makers.
