OFFICIAL LANGUAGES - TOOLS AND RESOURCES

Whether you're seeking to improve your knowledge or use of one of Canada's two official languages, or help your organization or others to do so, there is a government resource for you. CultureCanada.gc.ca has put together this list of resources on Canada's official languages.

Learning English with the CBC
This series of on-line lessons is designed to help people learn to speak and read English. The lessons offer media clips from the CBC's archives, along with questions and exercises for each clip.

LangCanada.ca
LangCanada.ca is an online portal to English as a Second Language (ESL) and French as a Second Language (FSL) training programs and materials in Canada. The site hosts a searchable collection of more than 3,000 educational resources for language learners, as well as more than 500 training organizations throughout the country.

Making Your Organization Bilingual
This Canadian Heritage site offers tools and strategies for organizations that want to foster a new bilingual corporate culture and for those who would like to improve the services they already offer in Canada's two official languages. The material is general enough to be adaptable to the needs of voluntary, private and public-sector organizations.

Youth Express
This section of the Official Languages Commissioner's site offers resources for young people, parents and teachers. Resources include interactive games, videos and posters on Canada's official languages.
