Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism & Diabetes Operating Grant: Diabetes Surveillance competition
The
CIHR Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes (
INMD), Health Canada's First Nations and Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) are pleased to announce the results of Operating Grant: Diabetes Surveillance competition. The objectives of this request for applications are to (i) enhance our understanding of the impact of diabetes on the health care system and on the health of Canadians and (ii) encourage linkage and/or comparison of the National Diabetes Surveillance System (NDSS) data with clinical, other administrative or survey data.
A total of
10 applications were submitted to Operating Grant: Diabetes Surveillance competition in April 2006. Applications were reviewed by an adhoc peer review committee resulting in 5 applications being approved for funding.
