Rural and Remote Health (RRH) Initiative

The Rural and Remote Health (RRH) Initiative was established to advance research and knowledge translation that will contribute to improvements in health status, health systems and health human resource utilization in rural and remote areas of Canada. By using an integrated approach to rural and remote health research, the initiative aims to expand research capacity and output. As new "rural" and "remote" approaches to health research are required, strengthening rural research capacity and networks, creating new research opportunities, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration and promoting community-based health research are key strategies that can contribute to the RRH research agenda.
