The Standing Committee on Evaluation, Performance Measurement and Audit provides oversight of CIHR's policies on evaluation, performance measurement and audit activities, in order to ensure that CIHR has the information that it needs for: effective design, implementation, improvement (or termination) of each of its structures, policies, programs and initiatives; full and open reporting on its performance to the public, Parliament, the research communities and other stakeholders; and judicious management of risks and control of expenditures.
