2007 Pre-Budget Consultations
Each year the Government of Canada undertakes an extensive pre-budget consultation process. This exercise is designed to ensure that the views of Canadians are considered in the development of the annual federal budget. As part of this process, CIHR's President, Dr. Alan Bernstein, has the opportunity to make a presentation to the Finance Committee on the future of health research. The Finance Committee also accepts presentations from a number of other organizations who support health research.
