Strategic Training Initiative in Health Research (STIHR)

Consultation on draft of the Request for Applications for the Strategic Training Initiative in Health Research (STIHR)

Note: Consultation period now closed

Background information

CIHR has begun a consultation process with its partners, existing STIHR grantees as well as the research community at large to gather feedback for the next launch of the Strategic Training Initiative in Health Research. The results of the consultations and recommendations developed in response to them will help CIHR and its partners develop the Request for Applications (RFA) for the next launch in June 2007.

Objectives

The purpose of this consultation is to gather expert opinion on the proposed program, to determine whether the STIHR initiative requires improvement of updating, e.g., with regards to objectives or expected outcomes, and to use this input to create an optimal design.

Instructions

Below is a link to the draft RFA and draft of the revised Training Grant Guide. We have developed an online survey to capture your feedback. Once you have read the documents, please complete the online survey no later than January 22, 2007, - deadline extension until January 29, 2007.
