GC will work with the Minister of Health and Government officials to provide input and expertise in the identification of the next President.
GC also wishes to stress its utmost confidence in the Institute Scientific Directors, executive management team, and staff of CIHR. The GC will work closely with the senior staff to ensure a smooth transition to appoint a new President. GC will also ensure that the day to day operations of CIHR will not be significantly impacted during this process.
I wish to personally thank Dr. Bernstein for his tireless commitment to CIHR, its staff and health research and knowledge translation in Canada, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
