Preview - My Business Account terms and conditions of use

In return for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) giving you access to My Business Account, you have to agree to abide by the following terms and conditions of use:

  1. You agree to provide all of the requested information for the purposes of viewing and/or managing your business information.
  2. You agree to be responsible, at all times, for the accuracy and completeness of information about your business and to inform the CRA of any changes that affect that information. This includes, but is not limited to, the identification of the business owner(s) (sole proprietor, partners, or directors and officers of the corporation).
  3. You agree to keep your epass User ID and Password secret and not to share them with anyone. If you lose them, forget them, or suspect that others have obtained them, you agree to report it to the CRA immediately.
  4. The CRA keeps audit trails of all access to your business information. You can request access to certain portions of these audit trails. The CRA also reserves the right to make use of the audit trail information, provided the use is consistent with security policies and legal privacy and access to information laws and policies.
  5. The CRA is not responsible for any losses or damages incurred as a result of any delay, unavailability, malfunction, or non-acceptance of information provided through the My Business Account service.
  6. You agree that this online registration has the same effect and is equivalent to a transaction using your handwritten and signed instruction.
  7. The CRA reserves the right to revoke or suspend access privileges granted to you for My Business Account if you fail to abide by these terms and conditions of use, as a security measure or for administrative purposes.
