AAFC TO JOIN THE INSTITUTE OF FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES ALBERTA

EDMONTON, Alberta, November 14, 2006 – The Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, and Alberta Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Minister Doug Horner will be signing an agreement for Agriculture Canada and Agri-Food (AAFC) to join the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Alberta (IFASA) in Edmonton, on November 15. By joining the IFASA, Canada’s New Government is creating a new direction for agriculture science in Alberta and Canada.
