CANADA’S NEW GOVERNMENT TO ANNOUNCE NEW INITIATIVES AND REGULATIONS FOR BIOFUELS AND BIOPRODUCTS SECTORS

OTTAWA, Ontario, December 19, 2006 – The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of the Environment, and the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, will be in Saskatoon on Wednesday, December 20, to announce new initiatives and regulations to promote the agriculture biofuels and bioproducts industries and protect the environment. Ministers will be available to speak to the media following the announcement.
