CANADIANS HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN AGRICULTURE AND AGRI-FOOD POLICY

OTTAWA, Ontario, January 26, 2007 - Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada would like to invite Canadians to participate in national public consultations on the next generation of agriculture and agri-food policy. Through these public consultations jointly hosted by federal, provincial and territorial governments in January and February 2007, Canadians will have the opportunity to provide input and advice on how to best ensure a competitive and profitable agriculture sector for years to come.

In Newfoundland and Labrador, full day public consultations on the next generation of agriculture and agri-food policy will be hosted in the following communities from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (local time):
