SECRETARY OF STATE RITZ TO ANNOUNCE BIOFUELS FUNDING IN SASKATCHEWAN

OTTAWA, Ontario, May 23, 2007 - The Honourable Gerry Ritz, Secretary of State for Small Business and Tourism and Member of Parliament for Battlefords-Lloydminster, on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, will be in North Battleford on Thursday, May 24, to announce funding under the Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative.

Following the announcement, Secretary of State Ritz will be available to speak to media. Western Biofuels Inc. and Saskatchewan Council for Community Development representatives will also be present.
