CANADA'S NEW GOVERNMENT TO ANNOUNCE FUNDING FOR BIOFUEL INITIATIVES IN SOUTHERN ALBERTA

OTTAWA, Ontario, May 24, 2007 – Myron Thompson, Member of Parliament for Wild Rose, on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, will be in Olds, on May 25, to announce funding for five southern Alberta projects under the Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative program.

Mr. Thompson will be available to speak to media following his announcement. Biofuels industry representatives will also be present.
