PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY DAVID ANDERSON TO ANNOUNCE FUNDING FOR BOPI PROJECTS IN SASKATCHEWAN

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 7, 2007 – David Anderson, Parliamentary Secretary (for the Canadian Wheat Board), on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, will be in Hague, Saskatchewan (30 minutes north of Saskatoon), on Friday, June 8, to announce funding for renewable energy production under the Biofuels Opportunities for Producers Initiative. Members of Parliament Maurice Vellacott, Brad Trost, Brian Fitzpatrick and Tom Lukiwski will also be speaking.

Following the announcement, Mr. Anderson will be available to speak to media. Biofuels industry and Saskatchewan Council for Community Development representatives will also be present.
