MINISTER HEARN TO ANNOUNCE FUNDING FOR WATER SUPPLY EXPANSION PROGRAM IN NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR

OTTAWA, Ontario, August 20, 2007 - The Honourable Loyola Hearn, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador, on behalf of the Honourable Gerry Ritz, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food and Minister for the Canadian Wheat Board, and the Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Environment and Conservation, on behalf of Kathy Dunderdale, Minister of Natural Resources for Newfoundland and Labrador, will be in St. John's today, to announce funding for projects under the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Water Supply Expansion Program.

Following the announcement, the ministers will be available to speak to media.
