VANCOUVER - The mother of another man who died after being jolted by a police Taser hopes today's release of a video showing Robert Dziekanski's death at Vancouver airport will lead to action.
Riki Bagnell's son Robert died in 2004 after Vancouver police shot him with a Taser stun gun.
Bagnell says all reports of the Dziekanski video describe it as being brutal and she feels badly that his mother may see the video.
She says if and when she watches the video it will be like witnessing the death of her own son and others who have lost their lives after being jolted by the device.
Robert Bagnell's mother and sister, Patti Gillman, will be attending Dziekanski's funeral service in Kamloops on Saturday to support the family of the would-be Polish immigrant.
Both women have been lobbying the government and others since Bagnell's death for testing of the electrical device and for Canadian standards for Taser use.
