Producer survey
Since 1998, the CWB has conducted a producer survey every year to gather valuable information from farmers. The survey is an important tool in driving the operational direction of the CWB as farmers' marketing arm. The data provides a snapshot of farmers' perceptions of CWB performance and their opinions on grain marketing. It contains feedback on what kinds of programs farmers need the CWB to deliver and how successfully the organization is meeting their business needs.
The information is used by the CWB's farmer-controlled board of directors to ensure that corporate objectives are aligned with farmers' goals. Many of the innovative programs that have been introduced since 1998 have been introduced as a result of feedback from farmers through multiple channels, including the annual survey.
