Youth Strategy Program CED-CFDC

The Youth Strategy Program CED-CFDC provides capital to young entrepreneurs in Quebec's rural areas for the purposes of business acquisition, start-up, modernization, expansion and offers personalized follow-up of the development of the business.

Eligibility Criteria

Young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 who intend to carry out projects within the territory of one of Quebec's Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDC).

Summary

The Youth Strategy Program is meant to limit rural youth's drift to large urban centres by encouraging rural business development.

The program is designed to:

• encourage the acquisition, implementation, expansion or modernization of a business by one or more young people;
• enhance young people’s employability and develop their social, cultural and economic commitment to their community;
• provide personal loans from $5 000 to $15 000.
