"It's Your Business"
CWB directors to engage farmers in annual farmer forums
February 15, 2006
Winnipeg - The CWB's elected directors are inviting farmers to a series of prairie-wide Farmer Forums slated to begin next week.
"It's Your Business is the theme of our meetings," said Ken Ritter, chair of CWB's farmer-elected board of directors. "We mean it. Western Canadian farmers are the marketers of their own wheat and barley. It's a fabulous advantage. The CWB belongs to them, and they have a huge role in making sure it operates in the best way possible."
CWB Farmer Forums have been scheduled in 17 communities from February 20 to March 21. They take place annually as part of the board of directors' commitment to engage all farmers in their business. For a complete list including times, locations and directors, visit www.cwb.ca.

All meetings will address the CWB's pool performance for 2004-05, recent enhancements to CWB programs, market and price outlooks, and the implications of world trade rules.
