Farmers who use PROs to make marketing decisions are advised that unusual weather in importing or exporting countries and other changes in market conditions could dramatically affect the price forecasts. PRO Commentary
2006-07 crop year

Wheat
U.S. wheat futures have trended lower over the past month given slow demand from the export market as well as additional supply pressure from Argentina and the Black Sea region. The considerable uncertainty surrounding Australia’s export program has also pressured global wheat export values.

Durum
Dryness in key durum growing areas and projected declines in U.S. durum acres for next year have been supportive of prices.

Feed barley
Pool A - Sales in this pool are approaching completion.

Pool B - Global feed grain prices have remained strong over the past month in light of tight global supplies. Uncertainty surrounding the Ukraine’s feed barley export program has also been supportive to prices in the near term.

Designated barley
Global malting barley supplies remain tight, supporting higher prices. However, malting barley customers are working to minimize consumption at these price levels, leaving overall demand more uncertain going forward.
