Just a few weeks before embattled shock jock radio host Don Imus is set to return to the airwaves, a Nashville-based network has announced it will also simulcast his program on television.
The Rural Media Group Inc. announced on Wednesday that beginning Dec. 3, it will carry Imus's new program on its station RFD-TV, which is targeted to an audience in the rural U.S.
RFD-TV, which caters to a mostly rural audience, will offer a TV simulcast of the upcoming new radio show from controversial shock jock Don Imus.

RFD-TV also features programming such as The Cattle Show and National Tractor Pulling.
"Don's passion and understanding of rural America fits in so well with our ongoing effort to bridge city and country folks with this channel," said Patrick Gottsch, founder and president of Rural Media Group.
Imus's new morning show will be simulcast during its 6-9 a.m. run on weekday mornings and rebroadcast again from 6-9 p.m. each evening. It will also be available via RFD-TV's on-demand service.
Earlier this month, Citadel Broadcasting Corp. announced that Imus would return to radio with a New York-based morning drive show airing on WABC-AM in early December.
In April, Imus was suspended and then subsequently fired by CBS Radio after making off-hand but offensive comments about a women's college basketball team on his nationally syndicated program Imus in the Morning.
The incident dominated headlines and sparked heated debate and protests from civil rights advocates.
MSNBC, which had simulcast the veteran radio personality's program for viewers, also dropped the broadcast.
This summer, the disgraced Imus reached a settlement with CBS, which had just renewed the host's five-year, $40 million US contract earlier this year.
