Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is being held in Liverpool, outside the Sherman Hines Museum of Photography (219 Main Street) on Friday, December 1, 2006. 

The ceremony begins at 6:00 pm, with the choir singing, hot chocolate, and the official lighting ceremony followed by the arrival of Santa Claus on a Fire Truck.  Children may visit the Santa afterwards in the Astor Theatre.  

Nova Scotia Power will also be in attenance from 5:30 pm onwards (outside Pay a Dollar Store) to exchange old incandescent lights for LED lights-  bring any two sets of old style lights and exchange them for one set of LED lights FREE OF CHARGE.
