Literary Landscapes of French Canada

Journey across Canada through the works and archival documents of Francophone authors from New Brunswick, Quebec, Ontario, western Canada and the Northwest Territories. Actual places inspire these writers, and through the magic of their words, they create settings that take on symbolic or mythic qualities. Examine archival documents-manuscripts, annotated typescripts, personal diaries and photographs--to embark on a journey into their world.

Where Are the Children? Healing the Legacy of the Residential Schools

This travelling exhibition, the result of a partnership between Library and Archives Canada, the Aboriginal Healing Foundation and the Legacy of Hope Foundation, encourages dialogue and understanding about the effects of the residential school system on the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities.

Ottawa Storytelling Festival 2007

The annual Ottawa Storytelling Festival is a major storytelling event in Canada and features the best storytellers from the Ottawa area, across Canada, the United States, and Egypt. Sessions feature stories, songs, and step-dancing based on the theme, " Characters Taking Risks." A major Saturday evening concert, "High Stakes", will feature international tellers.
Sessions for both adults and children are in English and in French.
