Environment Canada forecasts the weather across the country several times a day, every day of the year, using sophisticated computer models, observational data and meteorological expertise.
Weather forecasts extend from one to five days into the future and typically include predictions of high and low temperatures, precipitation, cloud cover and wind speeds. Seasonal and one-month forecasts indicate if temperatures will likely be higher or lower than normal.
This section contains short- and long-range weather forecasts, marine and aviation forecasts, and information on research methods used in forecasting.
