Environment Canada collects data on current weather conditions across Canada and along its marine coasts through a network of weather stations, upper-air balloons, satellites, Doppler radars and volunteer observers.
The data include measurements of temperature, precipitation, humidity, visibility, clouds, wind, air pressure and dew point. Current conditions are disseminated through the media and via automated telephone recordings and the Internet.
Consult this section to find the latest weather conditions in different parts of the country, as well as other environmental conditions, such as air quality and the UV index.
