23.10.2007 - The Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries (CADSI) in partnership with the Global Offset and Countertrade Association (GOCA) will host a conference on Developing Global Business Success - Offsets and IRBs as a Strategic Business Tool in Ottawa.

CCC President, Marc Whittingham, will moderate the panel Accessing Global Supply Chains - IRB / Offset - an Asset to Small Business. This session will discuss the steps required for Canadian business to access global supply chains and will identify barriers, as seen through the eyes of original equipment manufacturers, in order to encourage greater participation by Canadian companies. U.S. DoD contract awarded to GDLS Canada through CCC

A $338,734,800 contract signed through Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), was awarded to General Dynamics Land Systems Canada, London, Ontario, Canada, by the U.S. Department of Defense to purchase 600 Category (CAT) II Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) variation vehicles. MRAP vehicles are armored vehicles with a blast resistant underbody designed to protect the crew from mine blasts, fragmentary and direct fire weapons.

June 18-22, 2007

Robert Ryan, V.P. Aerospace, Defence and Security and Tom DeWolf, Director of Business Development, will be representing the CCC at the Paris Air Show from June 18 to 22. This will be a great opportunity for foreign government buyers and Canadian exporters alike to get an update on CCC’s services and business strategy to help access Canada’s export capabilities in defence markets.
