The Tampa Bay Rays confirmed Wednesday that they picked up a $2.3-million US contract option on pitcher Al Reyes and declined a $1-million US option on outfielder Greg Norton.
Norton, 35, received a $500,000 US buyout.
Al Reyes had 26 saves last season.

Reyes, a non-roster invitee to spring training, posted a 2-4 record over 61 appearances with a 4.90 earned-run average and 26 saves in 30 chances for the Rays last season.
The 37-year-old right-hander began the campaign with 16 consecutive saves, and finished with 70 strikeouts in 60 2/3 innings.
Reyes is 21-14 lifetime with a 3.90 ERA and 32 saves in 358 appearances (two starts) since making his major-league debut with Milwaukee on April 27, 1995.
He has pitched for Brewers, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Rays.
