Buying Belief

What to watch out for

A few quick tips:

  • Don't fall for offers that sound too good to be true. They often are.
  • Check the reputation of the business before buying.
  • If you bought a Q-Ray bracelet between January 1, 2000 and June 30, 2003 you may be elligible for a refund. Call the FTC Q-Ray Consumer Hotline at 202-326-2063.
  • Some provinces have laws that protect consumers from deceptive promotion and sales pitches for up to a year after purchase. Check with your provincial government.

I purchased a sabona bracelet at a health food store about 2 years ago for $39.95. I have had a lot of chronic pain in my knees from both injury and wear and tear. I have worn this bracelet for two years and have not taken it off. I have experienced a huge decrease in the pain I had felt. I can't tell you if it actually works or if it's in my head but either way it works and shouldn't that be all that matters? Posted by: Dave Phillips | Nov 14, 07 09:09 PM
Nonsense, Rubbish. I wore a Qray for 8 months - zip, zilch, nada. Please, folks, let us not insult our intelligence. The reason the US govt lowered the hammer on promoting the Qray is that it simply DOES not do anything except in the mind of the person. I worked for one of the marketing outlets - Showcase and believe me the that company wanted us to play the video the manufacturer provided(free of charge). The object here is make a sale. Qray is the living example of good ole fashion `tell em what they want to hear' marketing and make a sale. Wake up Canada, snake oil is out, Qray is in! Posted by: Dennis jaeger | Nov 15, 07 12:54 PM
