Partnerships among all levels of government, the private sector, ITS Canada, academia, and consumers are essential for the deployment of ITS across Canada and building awareness and knowledge of their benefits. To this end, Transport Canada has entered into the third year of a partnership agreement with ITS Canada, the primary technical advisor to the department. ITS Canada is a non-profit professional society whose goals are to foster the growth of ITS applications, promote government-industry cooperation and strengthen Canada's ITS industry. This partnership will go a long way towards ensuring that Canada has a dynamic and robust intelligent transportation systems industry to take advantage of growing domestic and global market opportunities. |
