Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Presents Awards to Volunteers of CCGA Newfoundland and Labrador

Corner Brook, NL - The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) presented Achievement Awards to volunteer rescuers from Newfoundland and Labrador and to friends of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary.

LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP:

In recognition of a lifetime of dedication and service to the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary:

Ford Ward – La Scie John Roberts – Woody Point
Nelson Waterman – Fogo Raymond Cull – Joe Batts Arm
George Durnford – Francois George Fudge - Francois

25 YEAR SERVICE AWARD:

In recognition of 25 years of dedication and service to the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary:

Claude Normore – L’anse au Loup Kenneth Mesher – Happy Valley
Raymond Petten – Bareneed Perry Burton – Lewisporte
Glenn Burton - Lewisporte  

The awards were presented at the 29th Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet held at Greenwood Inn and Suites in Corner Brook on October 13, 2007.

Each year in Newfoundland and Labrador, the nearly 1000 members of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary respond to over 100 calls for assistance from mariners in peril and donate over 6000 hours in support of maritime search and rescue activities in this province.
