Closed Areas for Shellfish Harvesting North Shore
July 9, 2007


QUEBEC CITY- Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity , in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish areas:

Prohibition Order No. QTN-423

Banc Marie-Marthe (Île Laval)
From a point at east of Rivière Laval's fairway to a point on shore, north of Ile Brûlette's west side, including Ile Laval (Banc Marie-Marthe).

Baie Didier
From a point on shore, north of Ile Brûlette's west side, to the southern point of Baie Didier, including Baie Didier and Ile Brûlette.

Baie des Plongeurs
Baie des Plongeurs, from the southern point of Baie Didier to Pointe Orient.
