BECOME AN OFFICER ON BOARD A CANADIAN COAST GUARD SHIP!

Canadian Coast Guard CrestThe Canadian Coast Guard College's Officer Cadet Training Plan (OCTP) offers two distinct four-year programs of study at the College in Sydney, Nova Scotia: a Navigation program and a Marine Engineering program. Officer Cadets live and study at the College for 45 months and graduate as Ship Officers who are employed on Coast Guard ships across Canada.

Upon successful completion of either program, each graduate is awarded a Bachelor of Technology in Nautical Sciences degree from Cape Breton University (CBU), a diploma from the Canadian Coast Guard College as well as Commercial Certification as a Deck Officer (Navigation) or as a Marine Engineer.

The number of scholarships is limited to 48 this year and the OCTP Recruitment Centre is accepting applications up to March 30, 2007. For further information and to obtain the Candidate Guide, application forms and eligibility criteria, visit: www.cgc.gc.ca.
