Canada has a new Ambassador for Fisheries
Conservation!
Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and Fisheries and
Oceans Minister Loyola Hearn announced this new appointment on January 25, 2007.
Ambassador Sullivan will be responsible for making sure the
world is clear about Canada's priorities for global fisheries. These include
sustainable resource use, and the conservation and rebuilding of global fish
stocks.
With Ambassador Sullivan, Canada has a strong presence on
the international stage to help us continue the fight against overfishing. He's
the right person to get the job done.
