Canada has a new Ambassador for Fisheries Conservation!

Ambassador Sullivan accepts his new posting

Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and Fisheries and Oceans Minister Loyola Hearn announced this new appointment on January 25, 2007.

Ambassador Sullivan will be responsible for making sure the world is clear about Canada's priorities for global fisheries. These include sustainable resource use, and the conservation and rebuilding of global fish stocks.

With Ambassador Sullivan, Canada has a strong presence on the international stage to help us continue the fight against overfishing. He's the right person to get the job done.
