Value Proposition The raison d’être of the Industrial Security Sector is to manage the Government of Canada’s Industrial Security Program to ensure the protection of Canadian and foreign Government sensitive information, assets and controlled goods in the private sector. We deliver value to government and Canadians by: Strengthening the Government of Canada’s National Security Agenda – ISS must make meaningful contributions to the National Security Agenda by ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive government assets and controlled goods and by enabling industry to rapidly serve the needs of the Government, its citizens and our allies in a safe and secure manner. We must help protect the Government and Canadians against potential malicious acts of espionage, theft and terrorist activities. Contributing to the Canadian Government’s Economic Agenda – ISS must support Canada’s economic growth by assisting industry to understand and meet the necessary security requirements to access sensitive domestic and international contracting opportunities. We must uphold NATO industrial security obligations and maintain the trust of our allies so that Canadian industry can compete internationally. Delivering Innovative Results-Oriented Quality Services – ISS must become the Canadian Government Centre of Excellence for Industrial Security Services by providing comprehensive, quality, timely and cost effective services. We must modernize and streamline our operational activities to achieve faster and accurate customer services. Providing a Single Window for Industrial Security Services – ISS must support PWGSC’s Strategic Agenda and its role as a common services provider. By providing focused delivery of industrial security services to other government departments, Canadian industry and foreign governments, we can ensure a consistent level and standard of security for the information and assets entrusted to industry. Fostering Stakeholder and Partner Confidence – ISS must strengthen the confidence in the robustness of Canada’s Industrial Security Program by improving communications with stakeholders and partners and fostering an understanding of our government-wide industrial security services and goals. |
