The Health Products and Food Branch has posted its proposed revised cost recovery framework, which covers fees for the regulation, licensing and post-market surveillance of drugs and medical devices.
This Official Notice of Fee Proposal is a necessary step in the HPFB Cost Recovery Initiative, as required by the complaints process of the User Fees Act.
The two weeks following the posting of the Official Notice of Fee Proposal on July 12, 2007 constitute the official notice period. Stakeholders have an additional thirty days - until August 24 - to make an official complaint or request an Independent Advisory Panel. Where a panel is requested, the stakeholder may be held responsible for the cost of the proceedings if the complaint is judged frivolous or vexatious. The complaints process is outlined in the User Fees Act. |
