The College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) is the professional regulatory body for more than 11,500 registered nurses in Manitoba. The Vision of the CRNM is Registered Nurses achieve excellence in professional nursing practice and participate as full partners in shaping health services. The College is accountable for promoting good nursing practice, preventing poor nursing practice and intervening in cases of unacceptable nursing practice.

  • Manitoba Nursing Research Institute Outcomes Research Grant Call for Applications
    The purpose of this grant is to provide support for nursing research projects which study health outcomes. The principal investigator must be a Registered Nurse in Manitoba but research team members may be from other disciplines. Funding to a maximum of $4,000 will be provided for one year. Application deadline: December 15, 2006. Application forms and guidelines are available at:

    In accordance with CRNM bylaws, the College is seeking nomination of candidates for: Central Electoral District Board Representative; Eastman Electoral District Board Representative; Interlake Electoral District Board Representative; Parkland Electoral District Board Representative; and Thompson Electoral District Board Representative. PLEASE NOTE: We are not accepting nominations for Norman and Westman Electoral Districts as printed in the October Manitoba RN Journal.   • 2006 Certification Exam Funding Available from FRNM
    If you are a registered nurse, working in Manitoba, currently registered at CRNM who has successfully completed a Certification Exam (e.g. CNA Certification Program) in 2006, you may qualify for partial reimbursement of the cost of the exam. Click the link for an application form or contact the FRNM at foundation@crnm.mb.ca NB: Closing date is November 30, 2006. To apply for partial reimbursement you must have proof of successfully completing the exam, and must not have received more than 50% of the cost of the exam from other sources.
