Canada Day Poster Challenge

The 2008 Canada Day Poster Challenge will be launched this fall. In the meantime, check out our 2007 winners and reserve your copy of the new brochure.

Each year, students ages 5 to 18 are invited to take part in the Canada Day Poster Challenge by designing a theme-based poster that illustrates their pride in Canada and in being Canadian.

The 13 provincial and territorial finalists win a trip to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day on Parliament Hill. In addition, the winning entry becomes the official poster of Celebrate Canada! which includes:

  • National Aboriginal Day, June 21
  • Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, June 24
  • Canadian Multiculturalism Day, June 27
  • Canada Day, July 1

From June to September, the Canadian Children's Museum at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec, exhibits the artwork of all 13 provincial/territorial finalists.

This Web site has been designed to provide ideas! Explore the learning resources section and take a few minutes to try the exciting games and activities. See the previous winners and finalists, print out an entry form, and read our complete entry rules.

Reserve free copies of the Poster Challenge brochure.
