Public Accessibility Programs
 It’s Your Gallery!
We are pleased to offer various programs that we have adapted and developed specifically for individuals with special needs. In addition to these innovative programs, we invite you to look at all our programs listed in this calendar of events. We are willing to work with you to provide adaptations and accommodations to the programs that interest you. We invite you to visit the Gallery, and know that our staff, security, and employees are ready to welcome you! Thank you for any suggestions that will help us improve this service. Programs are available thanks to the generous support of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation. Galleries and facilities are wheelchair accessible. Registration required three weeks in advance: (613) 990-4888 or

PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

IN THE STUDIO AND GUIDED VISITS
In the Studio is a thematic two-hour program for groups of adults with physical, cognitive, or language disabilities, as well as those who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, or living with mental illness. The program consists of a Gallery tour designed around a specific theme, followed by a hands-on studio workshop. Guided Visits are stimulating interactive programs that last up to an hour, depending on the needs and interests of the group. This flexible two-part program allows groups to design an arts experience that complements individual interests by choosing up to any two Guided Visits and any three In the Studio activities. We recommend that all groups book an initial Guided Visit prior to their first In the Studio activity. Guided Visits and In the Studio activities can be booked as a single visit or as part of a series. Specially trained guides lead all programs.
