Skate Home with a Champion

Homesense and CBC Sports want to help you recognize greatness in your skating community. In rinks Nationwide, thousands upon thousands of people are committing themselves to a common goal: skating greatness. Unselfishly, they give their time and effort inspired by one thing…their love of the sport, its athleticism, artistry and precision.

Now it’s payback time! From November 1 to December 21, tell us who makes a difference to you. Who keeps the rink running? Coaches until their feet are frozen? A volunteer? A paid coach? Your mother? YOU TELL US!

With the help of a star-studded panel we’ll help you bring a Champion* home to your town, creating an event to recognize that person that made a difference and to properly turn the spotlight on their efforts.

Entries are judged on the champion being inspirational to the community club and/or skater and a good role model/leader.

It is the “Skate Home with a Champion” contest brought to you by Homesense supporting grassroots figure skating in rinks from coast-to-coast.

*A Champion is a current or former athlete from the National team.
