Minister Emerson travels to Middle East

November 12 - 18, 2007


The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of International Trade, is leading a Canadian trade mission to the Middle East November 12-18, 2007 to pursue trade and investment opportunities. With an estimated $2 trillion available for foreign and domestic investments, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain) presents dynamic prospects for Canadian companies to showcase their expertise and capacity to meet the region's surging economic demands. Minister Emerson is also travelling to Jordan to meet prominent business and political leaders.
