Notice is hereby given that the Governor in Council, pursuant to subsection 164(1.3) (see footnote a) and paragraph 167.1(b) (see footnote b) of the Customs Act (see footnote c) and paragraph 133(k) of the Customs Tariff (see footnote d), proposes to make the annexed Regulations Amending the Temporary Importation (Tariff Item No. 9993.00.00) Regulations. Interested persons may make representations with respect to the proposed Regulations within 30 days after the date of publication of this notice. All such representations must cite the Canada Gazette, Part I, and the date of publication of this notice, and be addressed to Tia M. McEwan, Acting Manager, Trade Incentives Programs Division, Trade Policy and Interpretation Directorate, Customs Branch, Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, 4th floor, 150 Isabella Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0L5. Persons making representations should identify any of those representations the disclosure of which should be refused under the Access to Information Act, in particular under sections 19 and 20 of that Act, and should indicate the reasons why and the period during which the representations should not be disclosed. REGULATIONS AMENDING THE TEMPORARY IMPORTATION (TARIFF ITEM NO. 9993.00.00) REGULATIONS AMENDMENTS 1. The definition "originating good" in section 1 of the Temporary Importation (Tariff Item No. 9993.00.00) Regulations (see footnote 1) is replaced by the following: "originating good" means a good that qualifies as originating under the NAFTA Rules of Origin Regulations, the CCFTA Rules of Origin Regulations or the CCRFTA Rules of Origin Regulations. (marchandise originaire) 2. Paragraph 5(3)(e) of the Regulations is replaced by the following: (e) on commercial samples or advertising films imported from the United States, Mexico, Chile or Costa Rica. COMING INTO FORCE 3.
