Midwest Uranium Mine Development Project
Availability of $20,000 in Participant Funding

The Agency is making $20,000 available under its participant funding program to assist groups and/or individuals to take part in the environmental assessment of the Midwest Uranium Mine Development Project.

AREVA Resources Canada Inc. (AREVA) proposes changes to the current Midwest uranium mine development (Midwest Project) and to extend the mining and milling activities at the McClean Lake Operation to include the Midwest Project. To receive funding, successful applicants must participate in the environmental assessment process of the proposed project. To be considered, applications must be received by the Agency at the address below by April 27, 2007.
