Library

 

The Jules Léger Library's main mandate is to support the research needs of departmental employees both at Headquarters in Ottawa and at missions abroad. In addition, the Library supports the needs of Canadian and foreign clients conducting research in the subject areas mandated to the Department such as foreign affairs and international trade.

Our location

The Library is located on the main floor of the Lester B. Pearson Building at 125 Sussex Drive in Ottawa. It is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays).

Useful tools

Our Library Catalogue allows you to search all of the Department's holdings or select particular collections from missions abroad. 

Public services

The Library also offers many Services for the Public including interlibrary loans, reference and research facilities, and loan instructions for retired departmental staff and members of the diplomatic corps.
