Medium- and long-term scenarios for GHG emission and air pollutant reductions
This Interim Report to the Minister of the Environment presents preliminary findings of research and analysis conducted by the NRTEE. This report is in response to a request from the federal government for advice on targets and scenarios for reducing emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and air pollutants in Canada in the medium- and long-term.
Advice on a Long-term Strategy on Energy and Climate Change
This document addresses opportunities and challenges facing Canada in relation to its long-term energy and climate change future. Specifically, it deals with how to, by 2050 meet the energy needs of a growing economy, achieve substantial reductions in carbon emissions, and improve the quality of Canada’s air.
