Eligibility
Music students between the ages of 16 and 24 whose family homes or principal residences are in the National Capital Region (Canada) and who are pursuing careers as professional orchestral musicians. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

The application to audition for the annual NACO Bursary Competition is available online by February of each year.   The application deadline is March 15.   Eligible applicants will be asked to prepare both solo and orchestral repertoire.   The Committee encourages potential applicants to consult the list of solo repertoire well in advance of acceptance in order to be adequately prepared for the audition process.   Orchestral repertoire is mailed to applicants upon acceptance.

Preliminary and Final Auditions generally take place in Ottawa in May.
