Research Interests:

The group is interested in studying viral hemorrhagic fever pathogens in regards to molecular epidemiology, molecular biology, pathogenesis and immune response. To do this, there is a strong  utilization of reverse genetics systems (minigenome systems and infectious clone systems). In addition, the group is interested in developing rapid, sensitive and specific diagnostic test systems for viral hemorrhagic fever pathogens and other related biocontainment agents including those that can be applied in the field.
